Beaver Dam "Big Bash" Tournament Rules

  1. Safe boating will be observed at all times.
  2. Functional aerating live well/pumps or aerated cooler systems are required.
  3. Tournament water - Beaver Dam.
    1. No bank fishing
    2. No fishing next to the ramp
  4. Participants must launch at the Rt. 616 ramp. WEIGH IN AT THE 616 RAMP ONLY.
  5. Creel Limit: 5 bass per boat.
  6. No fish less than 12" will be allowed for the weigh in.
  7. All fish weighed must be released.
  8. Participants boat must be left in the water until their fish have been removed. Any fish taken from boats that have been removed from the water will be disqualified.
  9. There will be no culling of fish at the ramp.
  10. Participants weighing in fish caught by someone else will be disqualified.
  11. There will be a 4 ounce penalty for each dead fish presented at the scales.
  12. All fish found to be in violation of the size limit (less than 12") shall be removed from the scoring. The participant shall be penalized by the additional removal of the largest fish remaining in his/her possession. One such remaining fish will be removed for each additional violation.
  13. All participants must be at the check-in station by 3PM for weigh-in, with no weigh-ins accepted before 12PM (Noon). No late check-ins will be permitted.
  14. All protests shall be submitted in writing to the Tournament Director within 30 minutes after closing of the scales.
  15. Only two participants per boat.
  16. No live bait will be allowed. Artificial lures and pork rind will be permitted.
  17. Use of electrical motors only. All portable gas cans must be left on shore.
  18. All participants must have a valid Virginia or Gloucester County freshwater fishing license on their person during the event.
  19. As a courtesy, participants are not to come within a normal casting distance of another participant, excluding start and weigh-in.
  20. All participants must observe and obey all lake restrictions and boundaries.
  21. No underwater video equipment will be permitted during tournament hours.

  23. There will be 5 consecutive qualifying tournaments. The October "Big Bash" Classic Tournament weekend consist of a final Saturday elimination tournament, followed by a Sunday Classic.
  24. The Top 25% of angler's with the most accumulated weight will be facing off in the 2004 "Big Bash" Classic.
