Seven Open Tournaments
There will be 7 Open Trail Tournaments to be held close to home; catering to the Weekend Angler. Tournaments will be held on 3 different lakes. Scheduled are Beaver Dam Swamp, Waller Mill and Little Creek Reservoirs.

Some anglers took advantage of the 100% payback that the Boot'Legg Trail offers and enjoyed the format that the Boot'Legg Trail provided. There were 3 places paid out to anglers as well as Certificates provided to the winners and the Big Fish receipient.

Fishing was tough, but not unsuccessful. There were 44 fish caught and 7 teams with 5 fish limits. The total weight went 102.12lbs, with an average of 2.32lbs (2lbs 5oz) per fish; overall there were some chunks caught, but not too many "Mules" in the wells.

Not many secrets were told about how the angler's caught their fish, but through observation it was a finesse bite. Fishing areas slow with several casts...PATIENCE!!!

This was our 1st tournament of the year and a successful one. Our next Open Tournament Event will be held on Little Creek Reservoir on April 10th 2004.

There's no reason to pre-register, just show up and find one of the Tournament Director's with a Boot'Legg shirt on, pay your Entry Fee (option Big Fish) and Sign-In. We will be launching as soon as the facility opens. As soon as all the boats are signed in and in the water, we will provide the anglers with a short briefing and then BLAST OFF!!! We always allow at least 8 hours of fishing and 9 hours; if time permits.

Remember...100% PAYOUT...Our Motto with the Boot'Legg Trail, "All we wanna do is fish!!!"
