Tournament Report
by Mike Schneider

Temperatures in the 70's all week leading up to this tournament and then come Saturday…BAM…the bottom dropped out. Temps plummeted into the 30's that morning and barely managed to crack 60-degrees by that afternoon. But that didn’t stop the guys from catching a bunch of nice sacks! It was sunny when we launched, but it clouded up by 9 am and then it was a combo of clouds and sun the rest of the day. The winds were out of the West at about 15-20 mph; calm compared to the previous tournament. Windy conditions are never really a problem on Lake Prince, with so many coves and pockets; getting out of the wind is only a matter of where you want to fish.

All of the top 5 or 6 boats caught their fish off the beds using predominantly tubes and jigs.

The biggest sack of the day belonged to Sam North & Russ Hall who managed to bring in a sack nearly 20lbs. The 2nd Place team for the day went to Mike Cherry & Rob Uzzle with a hefty 17.11lbs. Following in 3rd Place was Keith Lynch...AGAIN...with 16.50lbs; that makes three 3rd Place finishes for Keith this year, but consistency pays off in the Angler Of the Year race. Nice job fellas!!!

Unfortunately, for the first time this year, 3 fish were brought in to the scales dead. Totals for the club this year: 101 fish caught, of which 98 were released alive.
