Okay, can you say hot?! The day started out with fog locking us down for the first hour or so of the tourney – safety of the Anglers comes first. Once it burned off, the heat set in and the sweating began. The tourney fielded 14 boats and at least every boat had at least one fish to weigh in. Some faired better than others; Senkos and plastic worms seemed to be the pattern of the day; if you can call it that. Anglers were catching their fish tight to cover and mostly near lay downs. Unlike the primary techniques used for the day, Big Fish of the day was surprisingly taken on a jig. The best fish were taken earlier in the morning, close to the bank. As the heat set in, the fish moved off into deeper water. Bob Bullen & John Cook managed 10 keeper bass and the best five hit just over 7lbs, which was enough to win the tournament; not to mention the 15 or so non-keepers and countless number of bowfin, chain pickerel, bluegill, etc. Below are the Bass Jons Tournament Results & Photos.
