RULE 9 CLUB EVENT

Slightly overcast and warm today. Mid 80's for the most part, which was quite a relief considering how hot it was the week before? Light winds for most of the day as well. Grass-lines, grass-lines, grass-lines!!! When you fish Chickahominy Lake this time of year that’s pretty much what you have to fish. The fishing can be tough, but with a little coaxing bass can be caught. It’s beginning to look like Sam & Russ have sold their souls to the Fish Gods because once again they have come to the scales with a fat sack and putting a gap between them and the closest Team for Angler of the Year. This is their third consecutive win and there are still a few tournaments left in the season. There technique this weekend was dominated by flipping worms around whatever wood they could find. Second place went to Brad Webb & Mike Schneider who reported catching most of their fish on topwater lures. Mike Cherry & Rob Uzzle took 3rd Place using topwater as well and Rob also had a hefty 4lb 12oz kicker fish which was taken on a spinnerbait; this allowed them to take Big Fish for the day.
