| Of all the lakes to fish on a Summer Day...Lake Meade...Aaagghhhh...the Moans & Droans in the background. Always tough to fish; Summer, Winter or Fall, it's tough. The turnout wasn't bad, drawing out 17 teams of 32 Anglers. As most summer fishing, all the anglers fishing struggled to produce fish. However, persistance allowed for 1 team to bring in a limit and a double digit weight. There were no primary biting periods, no particular patterns, nor any specific lure that caught more fish. It was a marathon out there to see who could make things happen. A typical summer day, but additinally tougher since Lake Meade was the lake. James Williams & Gene North brought in the one and ONLY limit of fish and a double-digit midget for a weight that took 1st Place for the days event. Coming in 2nd Place with only 4 fish were Matt Whitwell & Matt McKinney; they also took Big Fish for the day. Placing in 3rd were Parish Malone & Phil Schuyler of which they also brought in a 4 fish catch as well. In 4th Place, Mark Barnes & Doug Roberts and rounding out the Top 5 was Jason Sawyer & Corey Hamilton...DOG DAYS OF SUMMER!!!
