Tournament Report
The Bass Jons Club had their 1^st Tournament of the year at Lake Prince and like all the tournaments held so far this year, it was a bitter cold one. Although the morning air temps were reasonable (47-degrees), it didn't last very long; rapidly dropping to a chilling 37-degrees by 0900hrs; at least the water temps stayed around 45-degrees. To make matters even worse, it got cloudy and the wind started picking up. The wind wasn't too bad, but with the dropping air temps it got down right bone chilling. Along with the dropping temps it started raining and snowing, which didn't stop all day. The Season Opener brought out 14 boats, consisting of 28 total anglers. Of all those that showed, only 6 teams were able to bring something back to the scales to prove fish were biting somewhere on Prince. According to Bob Bullen, "Someone always figures them out." The winning technique came from using a Silver Buddy, which also brought in the Lunker for the day. The rest of the anglers who brought in fish used Crankbaits, Pig'N Jigs or Spinnerbaits. The winning weight goes to the team of Michael Cooper & Jim Carlson, who had a nice weight to start the season off; they also brought to the scales the "Lunker of the Day" going a massive 8lbs 8oz, setting a tough bar to beat early in the season. The 2^nd Place finishers are Kenny Boulier & Craig Strawser, followed by Roger Ewing & Matt Whitwell who took 3^rd Place. Here are the results for the entire field...

To make matters even worse, it got cloudy and the wind started picking up. The wind wasn't too bad, but with the dropping air temps it got down right bone chilling.
