"TOURNAMENT RESULTS"

BOOT'LEGG EVENT
Lake Prince
30 October 2005

Tournament Report
by Neal Robinson

The morning temps were nothing to be pleased about; anglers reported frost on vehicles and boats that morning brining anglers to the    Truck Stop bundled. It eventually warmed up real nice. Water temps varied that morning from 57- to 61-degrees and rose up to at least    66-degrees in some areas. The lake drawn that morning was Lake Prince; unfortunately, there was a tournament already launching    ahead of us (Rule-9 Bass Club), so we ended up sharing waters for the day; the lake wasn’t crowded, but the parking lot was a hoot. It    also created a little tension, but the two managed to keep the riff down. We only mustered up 18 boats today (33 Anglers).

A lot of fish were caught today; the problem was that they were small. Many anglers didn’t catch fish that measured. The Pike made for    a busy day on the water because they were chewin’ like crazy; everyone had a good Pike story to tell. Of the 18 boats, only 4 boats    brought in limits of fish.

There wasn’t a primary pattern established other than most anglers fished shallower water to get their bits, but the more successful    technique used for anglers was T-Rigged plastics, Senkos & smaller Finesse worms.

NOTE: Many of the fish brought in to the scales from both tournaments had some ugly infections for some unknown reasons.

Parish Malone & Phil Schuyler took their first 2005 Boot’Legg Trail win today. Fishing in 2nd Place was Boot’Leggs own, James    Williams & Gene North who also took Big Fish Honors. Third place finish went to Tim Langdon & Todd Thompson. In 4th Place was    Orece & Neal Robinson and in 5th Place was Drew Brown & Wayne Garrett.

   Thanks:
Once again, the Boot’Legg Legg Trail would like to thank those who participated. We also would like to recognize Parish Malone for    assisting with the Livewell Check and partly organizing the parking at Lake Prince. Also, we would like to thank Orece Robinson,    Tim Langdon & Todd Thompson for assisting at the weigh-in.

   Special Thanks:
Rule-9 Staff & Members: Mike Schneider & Ronnie Lentz for making an effort to work with us to ensure that we can both share the    waters and ramp on this day.
