| Beaver Dam "Big Bash" held there final qualifying Tournament Event. The "Big Bash" consistently has the largest turnouts on the Peninsula and this day was no different; today there were 46 teams showing up, which consisted of 86 anglers all together. That morning, predictions from most anglers reported that it would take between 12- to 14lbs to win the event. Anglers figured the limits would be coming in, but this would be a Dink Fest. Most anglers that have prefished earlier in the week, to include the Lake Reports, mentioned that the morning was going to be the key. Anglers today reported that nearly all their bites came during the morning and caught only a few shorts there after. Getting bites wasn't a problem, getting quality fish was a problem for most. The primary pattern for the Top 5 winners were fishing out in open water, targeting structure, such as humps and creek channels. The primary lures used were C-Rigs, T-Rigs, finesse worms & Jigs. Nearly half the field caught a limit (21 Teams), which brought in 148 fish. The total tournament weight went a nice 266.25lbs; 1.79lbs per fish weighed in. The winning team went to the John Permelia & Todd Taylor with a little more than 13lbs. The 2nd Place team was that of Ricky West & Jerry Jenkins, also named the 2005 Little Creek Angler of the Year. Rick & Jerry also took Big Fish for the day. Following them in 3rd was Dale Payne & Bill Bower; 4th Place was Clarence Jenkins & JC DeBose and coming in 5th was Quillie & Robert Countiss.
