RULE 9 CLUB EVENT
Chick/James River

Today was a bright and sunny out on the Chick River. Temps were in the low to mid-80s, but it felt hotter than that. This was Rule 9s first trip back to the Chick River in a couple of years. Going into this tournament anglers were thinking that the winning weight would be in the 7 to 8 pound range, since the River hasn’t fished well in the last couple of years. Well, maybe it’s starting to turn around. Surprisingly, there were a few anglers with some nice weights and probably had a good 6 or 7 fish that topped 3lbs. The winning pattern for the day was the one used by that of Brad Webb & Mike Schneider; using buzzbaits in the morning and switching over to plastics in the afternoon. This brought in their 5 fish limit weighing just over 14 pounds. Keith Lynch flipped plastic worms and Senkos along the grass-lines to grab 2nd Place and Big Fish. He weighed in about 12 ½lbs. Third went to Steve Williams & Ronnie Lentz with a 5 fish limit that weighed 10 pounds. They were using Crankbaits targeting the numerous boat docks on the Chick.
