This Boot'Legg Summer Event only brought 15 teams willing to fight through the summer heat on Lake Meade today.

Of the 15 teams, only 8 teams were able to bring in a limit. For the second week in a row, Gary Kinsey was able to win Big fish Honors again; a day were big fish were scarce. Our 1st Place event went to James Williams & Gene North, eeking by in 2nd Place were Mike Crescini & Kevin Mills with 9.36lbs; etching out 3rd Place Lenny Shane who had 9.27lbs. Our 4th Place finisher went to Orece Robinson and 5th goes out to Stan Stockton & Mark Barnes. Orece Robinson also won a 4th Place cash prize of $35. James Williams & Bill Sparrow won the $25 & $10 BPS Gift Cards.

There were a lot of good stories told after the weighin. The best (or Bust) story was Lenny Shane letting 3 of his fish die, "I pumped surface water into my live well at the end of the day, which rose the water tempertures in the livewell. That mistake knocked me out of 2nd Place. What a bonehead mistake. Fish management is an important process." It's not often that Lenny will make mistakes like this, but we are all human. On a better note, Lenny mentioned that Orece Robinson was pretty much given up, but decided to stick it out for the rest of the tournament. Within the last 15 minutes of fishing, in the 'Horseshoe' Orece pulled an Iaconelli, "...NEVER GIVE UP!!!" Orece was able to pick up his limit fish and his biggest fish; not enough to win Big Fish, but enough to bring put him in 4th Place.
