3. James River Tidal with many backwater areas Public landings Osborne Landing (Henrico Co.) Off Rt.5 on Osborne Tpk. Dutch Gap Landing (Chesterfield Co.) From Rt.10 off rt. 732 in Henricus Park. Deep Bottom Landing (Henrico Co.) Off Rt.5 on Deep Bottom Rd.

4. Nottoway River Flows south through South Hampton Co. Access points at Carey's Bridge, Peter's Bridge, Hercules landing, and Rt. 258 near Riverdale.

5. Blackwater River Flows south from Surry Co. through South Hampton Co. to its confluence with the Nottoway to form the Chowan River at the N. Carolina border. Access points can be found on Rts. 611, 603, 258 and in Franklin, VA.

6. North Landing River Flows south though Chesapeake and is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.

7. Meherrin River Flows from the Emporia Dam south through Greenville Co.
