Rick Cornett
I am 42 years old and currently live in Virginia Beach, Va. This is my second season fishing with Bass-Jons. I am employed by Colonial Webb Contractors in Norfolk as the Warehouse and Shipping Manager.
I have been fishing bass tournaments since 1992. My favorite bodies of water to fish are Kerr Lake, Lake Gaston, Lake Prince and the Nottoway River. My favorite techniques are shallow cranking and anything involving soft plastics.
I have really enjoyed the friendly yet very competitive atmosphere of Bass-Jons; I have never fished with a club whose members are so willing to share information.
In my spare time I enjoy fishing and camping at Kerr Lake with my wife Kerrie and our four kids. When I am not on the water I enjoy coaching the Girls Varsity Basketball team at Gateway Christian Academy in Virginia Beach.
Rick has been a welcome addition to Bass Jons since he joined. Everyone knows he is always going to find the fish and bring a nice bag to the scales. We hope to have him around for many years to come. Maybe one day he will tell us exactly what a “space monkey” is.
