What a great day for fishing, warm breeze, temps in the eighties. Water temp closing in around 70 degrees and bass spawn in full swing. Last week reports on Western Branch were great, beds and bass everywhere you looked. However in just a week the water level rose 4.5 feet, making previous beds undetectable. But as always someone always finds the fish. Jim Carlson took the honors for this tourney with 18.5 lbs and the Lunker of the day 6.3 lbs. The pattern for the day, pig & Jig, lizards, tubes. It rained all day, muggy and overcast. At least the wind laid down for the day. Between the rain, pollen and tannic color of the water made it hard to spot beds and the fish. However Bill and his guest partner Moose found them and put in the boat. Most resorted to just plain fishing, which for most worked out. Still lots of reports of missed fished.

Lake Prince started off being cold and windy. It ended up warm and windy, the water temps around 58 degrees. The bite was funny lots of reports of missed fish. Saw lots of beds and no bass on them. We saw bass rolling on each other and some cruising the shore line. However someone always gets on them, the baits of choice crank baits, pig & jigs and soft plastics. Big fish taken on a Senko.
