        November 2007 to October 2008 Long Rang Forecast 

  • Winter will be slightly milder than normal, thanks to a mild November and March and despite colder-than-normal temperatures in December and February. Precipitation will be slightly above normal in North Carolina and below normal elsewhere, with average amounts of snow and ice. The coldest periods will be in early and late December, mid- and late January, and mid-February. Snow and ice will occur in interior locations in mid- to late January and mid-February. April and May will be a bit warmer and drier than normal. Summer will be slightly hotter than normal, with below-normal rainfall in eastern North Carolina and above-normal rainfall elsewhere. The hottest temperatures will occur in early June, early to mid- and late July, and early August. September and October will be cooler and drier than normal.
